Our Recent Work

Dailynews-online.com

Dailynews-online.com is a trade show daily news site produced by Route2Market for a number of high-profile international trade shows for the construction and road-building industries. Tamesis Digital created a sophisticated multi-site, content-managed web system, which allows content from the print magazines to quickly be published on the website. Its many custom features include digital asset management, advertiser and exhibitor information management, banner adverts and rapid AJAX-based e-mailshot generation. Bauma is one of the first sites created using the system: http://www.dailynews-online.com/bauma

Audio Engineering Society UK

The UK section of the Audio Engineering Society needed a new website, partly to project a modern, clean-looking visual style for their technical and academic community – but more importantly, to make content updates easily accessible by committee members, so the website can be more effectively used to engage with their membership.

Tamesis Digital designed a simple but attractive visual style for the site, and created the new website with a customised Content Management System (CMS). As well as providing easy WYSIWYG editing of all the content on the site, the CMS also handles the client’s unique requirements for automatically managing lists of forthcoming and past events.

Purple Radio

Stop press: Purple Radio wins the Internet Radio Awards 2009-2010! The innovative community features, live schedule information and smart, professional-looking design were a major part of the winning effort by the Purple Radio team.

Purple Radio is an online not-for-profit radio station. They required a complete redesign of their website and brand identity, with the emphasis on giving it a professional and contemporary look, plenty of space for content, and making it easy to update.

The front page incorporated room for latest news stories (such as upcoming gigs), which are updated along with all the other content using the CMS; live schedule information fed from their existing Google Calendar (using the Google API); a 'currently playing' display taking data from the Shoutcast online broadcasting service; and an AJAX "shoutbox" for listeners to post live messages.

To lessen the workload for the technical team it was decided to give all the DJs their own blog page run from Wordpress, so they can update charts and playlists themselves. Site design was done by Dr Jimble.

Women in Publishing

Women in Publishing is an organisation supporting and promoting the careers of women in the publishing industry. They wanted a more corporate and professional look for their online presence, with the facility for a private members area.

Tamesis Digital created a smart new look based on their existing brand, and implemented it with external news feeds for publishing industry information.

Lee, Dicketts & Co.

The Lee, Dicketts & Co. refresh is an example of what can be done, even if your site is 'getting on' a bit.

The practice had recently been bought out by two of the partners and they were keen to update the look of the site without major changes to the existing design.

Tamesis Digital made minor amendments to modernise the site including a layout and colour change to the homepage, providing consistent icons, centering the site in the browser, fixing minor style errors, improving the accessibility, updating the colours of section headings and reworking the staff section.

It was a pleasure working with Tamesis. Their ability to take my original design and build the Purple Radio site exactly as I had originally laid it out was pixel perfect perfection.

The final result is something that we can both be proud of, and has received fantastic feedback from both the original client, and users of the site. I look forwards to working with Tamesis again and thoroughly recommend them.
